This week’s Memorial Day podcast has very few stories but we managed to pack it full of content including the long awaited Punch-Out Wii review! The news includes:

  • podcast-200x200Mass Effect 2 Information Leaked
  • Nintendo Releasing All Three Metroid Games on one disc
  • Nintendo’s CEO Satoru Iwata Says, No Sense In Complaining About Used Game Sales

We also hit up some listener comments, learn a bit about nanites, checkout some gaming history on Track & Field all while popping out a new weekly question: Will you buy a video game compilation that includes updated old games with new functionality like “Waggle” controls?

(Some random comments about the show)

Aw, no outtakes? ':(

Don: The textures “popped” even on the console version of “Mass Effect”? Here I figured it was just my video card's fault. ':\

Derrick: I'll be waiting patiently to find out what Punch Out is like with motion sensing enabled; that will probably be the deciding factor for me. (Betani and I have a semi-official rule that we'll only buy Wii games that won't let us veg out on the couch.)

I think “Track & Field” would be a cool game to port to the Wii, though if it used the balance board I suspect people would end up breaking it during the hurtles. You'd be better off just relying on the sensor in the Wiimote.

Jennifer: I like how you defended the Metroid Prime collection in spite of having no interest in it whatsoever. ':) (I know, this is a kinda pointless comment, but I'd already addressed Don & Derrick and didn't want to leave you out. ':D)
